Mani Yunke-lo
Micastu sumanitu taka,
Na wiyakapi leciya naju oskapa,
Miwicasa, mioyate,
Mihelti aka mimakoce,
Hehatu wakpa,
Kici tawicu na ciksi,
Na istime mahel wicoti ocoze.
Micastu nahahci sumanitu taka,
Na wiyakapi ile,
Miwicasa nahahci, mioyate,
Wana miakicita,
Le nahahci mimakoce,
Hehatu wakpa,
Mahel wicoti isna la.
Maoyuspe wahin kpe,
Maza su micante papala ape,
Miwe caku zugzuka,
Tka nahahci naji wakatu ya na haske,
Ska tatanka ihakab miye,
Na le okicize mikicizapi,
Mihukapi, mikicopi. Malakota!

March of Death
My name is Wolf,
And feathers climbed over my head,
I was a human, a leader,
I lived on my land,
Next to a river,
With a wife and a son,
And to sleep in a warm village.
My name is still Wolf,
And feathers are burning down,
I am still a human, a leader,
I am now a warrior,
This is still my land,
Next to a river,
Alone in the village.
I am holding onto the arrow,
Bullets shot at my tender heart,
My blood drenched the streets,
But I still stand high and tall,
The white buffalo is behind me,
And I will continue this war,
My ancestors, I invite you. I am Lakota
Did u write in that language?
Plz elaborate v_v what language is it?
& what's lakota?
First, I should state who or what is Lakota. It is a subtribe of the Sioux tribe, and hence Lakota Sioux, and if you wiki it you would know that it is a First Nation's tribe, or Red Indians or Native Americans, and you would also find pretty interesting additional information. On one occasion, I met a lady who was a Lakota Sioux, and I learned:
"hau kola" means "hey friend"
"doka hey?" means "how are you"
"waste" pronounced 'washtay' means "good"
"pilamayyan" means "thank you"
and more that I already forgot but written it down somewhere, lol!!
The reason I did write such a poem in this interesting language was because since I was a little child I was interested in these innocent group of people who got murdered and unjustly prosecuted by the White Americans, who until today have not returned the land to their owners!!!!
So, in April, I wrote this poem depicting their strength, pride, courage, and honour. I hope that my resemblance of them is true or close to it.
Liked it now... This is creative bro! Masha Allah!
