A Parasitic Flower

There is something wrong with this streetlight,
It is flickering, fighting to get out of darkness,
But soon – maybe too soon – it shuts down,
It is still struggling and I did not understand,
I did not know what to do in this empty town,
The road ends on an extremely silenced hill,
And I want to walk somewhere. Anywhere!
As long as I get out of this melancholic prison,
Or should I fix this streetlight first and then –
Wait! There seems to be an intriguing flower,
Thorns all over its short thick velvet stem,
Poison enveloping my heart through my eyes,
Although, she is living out of this streetlight,
A parasite? Swallowing the light? Possessed?
I do not dare approach but her crimson petals –
Suddenly, my flickering light just went out!

The Hallow Realm

Trick or never treat
Masked beyond the sacred night
Ghastly mist with fear
Humans weeping for no one
Joyful songs to hear
When death awaits the neighbour
Shadow's illusion
Into the ignorant minds
Suffocating lungs
A poetic emotion
Haiku meant to shock
Eyes horrified from the news
Cursed crisis camps
Humans retreat in sorrow
Shivering stiff spines
Children dreaming of a life
Coloured with beauty
Instead shells are dropped above
Skeletons outrage
Everywhere life still goes on
Sweets on the doorsteps
Masked beyond the sacred night
Trick or never treat

The Story of the Red Umbrella

My previous owner was the humanity’s peace,
Then came the shadows amidst the storm,
And I tried protecting my delicate owner,
Her child cried and tears kept overflowing,

And then she let go.

The gust of wind chained me in this chilly night,
Surrounded by dark skies enslaved by the shadows,
But as the light pierced through the angry clouds,
Through the rain, through the wind, through the storm,
I descended from the heavens as a peaceful red umbrella.

Hanging Humanity

They hanged me in the middle of the camp,
Rope tied tight to the neck of a knight,
Supposed to be dead but I did not die,
Soldiers kept shouting ‘Die! Die! Die!’
They wanted to kill me but they could not,
I wanted them to kill me but I could not,
Voices of peace came as sharp as my sight,
Strengthening this heart and my windpipe,
I ordered people to discuss not to fight,
I sheltered people’s lands into my light,
I opened my mind to open your closed one,
I even skipped a heartbeat just to reach you,
But here I am sentenced as a war criminal,
Hanging the hanged head of humanity’s hope – sigh –
– Last breath –

An Open Book

You came into my life with a royal exquisite desire,
Wanting to elude me into the volcanic eruptions,
And you never cease with your continuous thorns,
As if a deafening rusty motor on an endless fuel,
Feeding the empty fireplace with heat to produce
A magnificent emotional formula; but only to –
Wound my delicate young heart and to interfere
With my mind emitting voices of iced immaturity,
And yet, I listen attentively to the vast collection
Of stories, of senseless memories, of aching cries.
These passionate calligraphy weighing this paper
Down are but a chance for you to understand me,
To open your adorable mesmerising brown eyes,
To move the curiosity within your delicate fingers
As they keep striding on my ticklish feet leisurely
Moving towards my knees and my concrete legs.
