Night Prayer

We light our lamps by capturing the moonlight,
Sending messengers to villagers for a meeting,
Earth Whisperers hungry for surreal calligraphy,
When the diseased keep their minds demented,
Or those who are lazy enough to shut their eyes,
And when the Call for Prayer is raised somewhere,
Seeking the pride of the desert and its pure sand,
Filling the wells between our sails continuously,
Whispering pure thoughts within our minds and heart,
Defined by our way of life and the perfect scroll,
Islam: engraved in golden calligraphy spreading peace,
Islam: the faith of Abraham and all creatures’ submission,
Concluding our night with a smile and a hug,
Breathing in and out as we obtain tranquillity.
